Anko, about her sister
Anko Koshi (虎視 餡子, Koshi Anko) is the younger sister of Torako Koshi and a first-year student at Hino Minami High School.
She is one of the members of the Deer Club, and is one of the main characters of the Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan series who made her debut in Chapter 7 of the manga and "Deer Meets Dark Girl" of the anime.
Appearance[]
Anko consists of quite literally the same assets of her sister Torako. Differences being that she has slightly longer than shoulder length hair of which is deep purple, paired a gray fleece sailor uniform with a yellow scarf.
She is also seen with a navy overall-like uniform that has a bow to replace the scarf, and has a "killer mode" of which her eyes turn into a target like pattern with glowing red in the center.
In the manga, Anko's eyes are always drawn so that her pupil and iris are pitch black, save for a white outline separating the two. In the anime, her eyes are only like that whenever she's being unreasonable.
Personality[]
Anko is best known for her sister complex towards her older sister, Koshi Torako. Though, it is yet to be explained how this came to be, she admits to being highly obsessed with everything regarding her sister, from her worst traits to her best.
She makes it her personal life goal to be always by her sister's side 24/7, much to the latter's dismay and embarrassment. She will not hesitate to try and outright assassinate anyone who goes as far as to even just stand within near proximity of Torako, which even the latter can't even convince her to stop herself.
The only time she makes an exception to anyone else getting close to her sister was when she tried staking Noko with a kunai to the heart, only to see, much to her surprise, that her sister deeply cares for Noko, and has decided that someone else, for once, was also worthy of supporting Torako together, side-by-side.
However, if her sister is around or not related to the matters at hand, Anko is reasonable, kind, and gentle. She makes Bashame rice balls and prepares chalk for Tsuchi after they have finished their field work.
Nevertheless, Anko is similar to her sister Torako in that she's also cunning and delinquent, even more so than Torako. As indicated by the Game of Deer Life, she chooses to rule over the animal kingdom with an iron fist, much to the shock of her own sister.
Abilities[]
- Wide intellect - Like her sister, she is someone with high intelligence as she was able to teach herself how to set traps and use kunai as a means of self-defense (though, for the wrong reasons). Another notable example being when she was able to make up a question-relevant paragraph within 60 words when asked on the spot.
Skillset[]
- Weapon-handling - Anko is adept at arming herself with her collection of kunai when faced with possible opponents.
- Setting traps - Anko is also well adept in setting traps in her victims' surroundings.
- Hosting - During the sports festival arc, Anko was one of the hosts/emcee for the school's sports festival.

- Her first name, Anko, when combined with her last name Koshi, refers to the Japanese red bean paste dessert Koshi Anko. It also becomes her nickname.
- She's voiced by Rui Tanabe, who also voiced Mafuyu Asahina in Project Sekai.
- It is revealed in "Deer Meets Dark Girl" that Anko is adept at using kunai and setting successful traps.
- She indirectly reveals in "Bashame Enrolls" that she is fifteen years old.
- As of the same episode, she and Meme Bashame are now first-year students, and has transferred to Hino Minami High School from their respective middle schools.
- The matching mugs Anko gets for herself and Torako in this episode is later turned into official merchandise by WIT STUDIO.
- In "Deer Collecting, Streaming, Hospitality, etc.", it is revealed that her MyTube account picture is a kunai.
- In Chapter 6, it is revealed that Anko has a collection of sewing patches which Torako used to patch up Noko's tattered jacket.
- In the author's notes doodle at the end of Chapter 25, Anko reveals that she took her sister's first-year uniform instead of buying her own.
- Additionally, since Anko and Bashame are the only first years shown so far, the series has yet to show a first year student wearing the standard uniform without the inclusion of a sweater or the like.
- One of the posts promoting "Get The Sports Festival Done!" on the show's official Twitter is an exclusive picture of the Koshi sisters doing a pose.[3]
- In Chapter 28, she reveals that, because Torako is a terrible cook, she takes it upon herself to make her sister's bento instead.
