- As of this chapter, only one of author's doodles is not adapted to anime.
- "Summer Deer Festival" and "Goodbye Old Deer, Hello New Deer" are the first and only episodes to include content that, at the time of the episodes' premiere, has yet to release in the manga. In this case, the four segments from the Chapter 30 mini comics.
Manga-Anime Differences[]
- In the anime, the ema that has all the wishes of the Deer Club's members was used as an ending to the New Years shrine segment in "Goodbye Old Deer, Hello New Deer". In the manga, it was featured in the title before the doodles.
- In the same episode, the subplot of Bashame making mochi while the rest of the members play board games was an extension of a similar doodle in this chapter, being recontextualized to fit the context of the episode.
- That Noko uses her upgraded antlers to save Bashame from choking on her own mochi is exclusive to the anime. The manga never elaborates on how she was able to safely gulp it down.
- The transition that took place between the New Year shrine segment and the Game of Deer Life segment has an added scene of Noko switching between her shrine maiden and normal persona. This scene helps to facilitate the transition between the two segments, thus it is not in the original doodle.
- The Deer Club the Rock segment had an otomatone in the manga, as opposed to the udu drums in the anime.
Cultural References[]
