Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode to not adapt from any existing material.
  • Like the first episode of the anime, this episode's title is color-coded to represent Noko.
  • It is revealed that Soichiro and Noko actually keep in touch via email.
  • It is revealed that the end credits scene from the previous episode "didn't mean anything at all".
  • Noko breaks the fourth wall by saying the Deer Den hunters know her location by watching the anime.
    • Additionally, Nekoyamada is the only other person besides Torako to directly speak with the narrator.
  • Despite his appearances and initial confusion at the request, Yoshiharu is also able to stand in as a referee for Noko and Sento's fight.
  • It is revealed that the reason Noko got stuck in the powerlines in the first episode in the first place was because she used her helicopter-flying antlers ability shown in this episode.
  • Inukai's appearance as a non-speaking cameo near the end of the episode was foreshadowed by the narrator during his brief exchange with Yoshiharu, about the latter asking why he had to be there, with the narrator responding, "As this is the last episode, all hands on deck."
  • The show's Japanese title appears as moving text on one of the screens of the gym at the end of the episode.
  • This is the first and only episode whose promotional material is not an illustrated artwork.
  • Prior to this episode, there had been many instances of the show's official Twitter posting the Noko mascot interacting with the Sento-kun mascot as well as the other yuru-chara mascots that have appeared in this episode.

Cultural References[]

  • Kyun-chan, is based off of its real-life counterpart, a yuru-chara mascot for Hokkaido based on a pika.
    • Additionally, the way it can only say its name is a reference to the Pokémon franchise.
  • Sento-kun, is based off of its real-life counterpart, a yuru-chara mascot created by the Nara City Office and designed by Satoshi Yabuuchi.
    • The mascot itself is based off of the religious figure, Buddha but with deer antlers.
  • One of Noko's attempts at cheating the fight is a brief shot of her antlers turning into a joint lightsaber, a reference to the Star Wars franchise.
  • The promotional poster of this episode references classic 20th century Tokusatsu films, such as Kamen Rider vs. Shocker.
  • Most of the episode is heavily based upon the manga series Tiger Mask from 1968, these references include the Deer's Den referencing the Tiger's Den and in the episode a reference to the opening of the 1969 anime adaptation appears.

Continuity[]

  • The end credits scene from the previous episode is played as a brief flashback.
  • Koshi notes now the dance competition set is the same one recycled from "Deer Meets Dark Girl".
    • One of the flashbacks from Noko's montage is the scene of her and Koshi first meeting from this episode.
  • Koshi briefly makes a callback to the DeerColle from "DeerColle, Streaming, Hospitality, etc.".
    • One of the other flashbacks in Noko's montage is Noko poking her antler onto Koshi's face from this episode.
  • Noko briefly changes back to her sensei disguise from "Blame It On Spring...".
  • Noko briefly makes the same punching gestures with boxing gloves from "Grab Her Weakness!".
    • One of the other flashbacks in Noko's montage is the explosion from this episode.
  • The scenes from Noko's flashback montage also include brief clips from "Girl Meets Deer", "Bashame Enrolls", and "Get The Sports Festival Done!".

Errors[]

  • Noko says she was direct messaged by Soichiro about the warning, but when she shows her phone, it is clearly an email.
