Volume 5 is the fifth volume of the Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan manga, it contains the twenty sixth to thirty first chapters of the series.
It was first published in Japanese on May 09, 2024, and is scheduled to release in English on December 31, 2024.

- Chapter 30's title is entirely in English, even in the Japanese version.
- Chapter 30 is also the only chapter of the volume whose title is not punctuated by an exclamation point.
- "Summer Deer Festival" is the first time wherein an episode of the anime adapts a chapter of a currently ongoing volume as of the time of the episode's release. In this case, the author's doodle in Chapter 30 of Volume 5.
- It would take until "Get The Sports Festival Done!" that a full chapter of the volume gets adapted.
- "Summer Deer Festival" and "Goodbye Old Deer, Hello New Deer" are the first and only episodes to include content that, at the time of the episodes' premiere, has yet to release in the manga. In this case, the four segments from the Chapter 30 mini comics.
- "Get The Sports Festival Done!" is also the first and only episode of the anime to only adapt two chapters than the usual three.
- As of the wrap up of season one, this is the first and only volume so far to have adapted any and most of its chapters into the anime before its official English publication, as well as during the ongoing Japanese publication of the volume itself.
